Moran Mansion
Museum
Located on the second floor of the Mansion,
the Moran Museum is a tribute to the man
that built and made the mansion his home,
shipbuilder and former Seattle mayor, Robert
Moran. The Museum features original photographs
taken from the early 1900’s, Arts
and Crafts period furnishings, and an extensive
display of the ships built by the Moran
Brothers Company in Seattle. Self-guided
tour, open daily, and free to the public.
Shopping
The Bay Boutique in the Moran Mansion features
island art and gifts, clothing, bath crystals,
lotions, fragrances, candles, jewelry, Rosario
logo items, sundries, specialty gifts and
much more. During the summer, the Dockside
General Store offers ice cream, groceries,
produce, candy, beer, wine, coffee, necessities,
clothing, and souvenirs. The store is located
at the marina in the Cascade Bay Grill building
and is open June - September.
The Spa
A visit to The Spa at Rosario is the perfect
way to open your senses to the natural beauty
and serenity that surrounds the resort.
Start your day with an energetic fitness
class or indulge in one of our many world-class
spa treatments. The facilities at The Spa
include a dry sauna, ten treatment rooms,
mirrored exercise and weight rooms, a whirlpool,
indoor therapeutic pool and spa boutique.
Fitness classes are included in the daily
resort fee and feature water aerobics, step,
low impact aerobics, strength and conditioning,
weights, yoga and more.
Swimming
Mansion Pool - This outdoor heated
pool is open June - September and is located
on the garden level of the Moran Mansion.
This pool is designated for adults only.
Spa Indoor Pool - This indoor heated
therapeutic exercise pool is located in
the Spa on the lower level of the Moran
Mansion. It is a quiet pool due to the location
next to the Spa treatment rooms. Children
17 and under are welcome but must be accompanied
by an adult.
Family Pool - This outdoor heated pool is
open June - September and is located near
the marina across from the Cascade Bay Grill.
Children 17 & under are welcome, but
must be accompanied by an adult.
Games
Rosario also offers a variety of outdoor
games, including Horseshoes, Shuffleboard
and Tetherball. Indoor board games are available

Organ Concert and Rosario History
Narrative
Christopher Peacock, accomplished musician,
author and Rosario historian, offers a one
hour presentation of music and photography
that walks guests through the history of
the Moran family and the Rosario estate.
Highlights of the presentation include the
historic Moran Photograph Collection, Phantom
of the Opera music played on the Mansion’s
1,972 pipe Aeolian organ, stories of the
Mansion’s most colorful residents,
and Christopher’s original piano compositions
played on the 1900 Steinway Grand Piano
while fantastic San Juan Island flora and
fauna slides show on the big screen. Open

Buck Park
The Park features baseball and softball diamonds,
basketball hoops, tennis courts and lots of running
room, so it is often the scene of Ultimate Frisbee
contests. It is located next to the high school
on Mt. Baker Road in Eastsound.

Orcas Island Historical Museum

In the 1950s and 1960s, various island families
donated six original homestead cabins built during
the 1870s and the 1890s to the Historical Society.
These cabins are now over a hundred years old,
and not only house the collections, but are considered
important historical artifacts in themselves.
Each cabin serves as a space for interpreting
specific aspects of island history as told through
the life stories and material culture of the First
Peoples and early European-American settlers of
